About Death, Danny and mine

I came across with these story of a friend from Davao at MindaNews. I was sober while reading but could not stop to chuckle when I reached the phrase I copied and pasted below:

RURAL VIEWS: Lola Tasya, Lolo Pio and GMA (& Erap)
By Danilo A. Balucos/MindaNews
"And so when my time will finally come (that will still be several decades from now, don't worry folks), please don't bring expensive flowers. Fresh flowers from your garden will do (this one is not an original idea but copied from Carol Arguillas' will). Personally-made paper flowers out of Japanese or crepe paper would be very much appreciated, preferably light orange in color."
Highlights and italics are mine. The color is just perfect for fast food... like that of Jollibee.
I knew of this practice as a communal way of subverting pre-needs plans. IN fact this burial system is also adopted by a councilor turn congressman of Lanao First District to provide a proper system for the dead, specially coming from the urban poor and indigents.
But crepe papers are still expensive and the labor cost in making paper flowers adds to that.
When I'll die, I would prefer that my flowers will be ordered in the sitios of Mibala and Mibolo of Tipanoy of Iligan city.
Chrysanthenum, yellow and white, are not expensive if brought direct from cut-flower growers. This is also true to its roses and angels breath (white and lavender).
I forbid everyone to mourn. I wanted my death revolutionized. I want my visitors to sing and pray. I don't want everyone to think and talk about the sad and corrupted lives. I want them to be happy when I'll pass.
In this life, we just look and pass in a journey we're in while breathing deep courage to let everyone go unknown.
Cheers, Danny. Don't cry. It will affect the gum of your newly extracted tooth.
