ILIGAN CITY (MindaNews/28 Jan) -- Residents of six barangays of Kauswagan town in Lanao del Norte affected by the recent flash floods received relief goods from a non-government organization today as part of a post-disaster management for severely affected households.
Abel Moya, of Pakigdait Inc., a non-government organization supporting peace-building initiatives here, said that in Kauswagan, 146 families were affected, 43 houses totally ruined and another 116 houses partially damaged by the floods last January 17.
"These are also communities who are direct beneficiaries of our grassroots peace-building initiatives, " he said.
